The CWE Tristan Gallagher Benefit Show on January 29th
We at CWE would like to thank everyone for coming out and contributing this very important show. All proceeds did go to Tristan Gallagher’s 10 year old son and it was a success. Besides all the money that was raised in the event, he also received a brand new bike that was donated by Deland Cycles. This is a case when the cause was more important than the show.
Commissioner Torres came out and welcomed the crowd to this event. He wanted to thank everyone for coming out and the wrestlers for dedicating their time to this cause.
Sean LaFlash, the announcer for IWA Royalty, came out and interrupted Torres and announced the IWA was in the house and that Q T Marshall wanted a match with the Champion “Killer” Kyle Blizzard. Torres makes the comment that Marshall will have his match but it would be a tag match featuring Blizzard and Biff Slater taking on Q T Marshall and Mike Reed.
Q T Marshall, Mike Reed, Eddie Graves, and London Vice entered the ring. Q T Marshall takes over the mike and reminded Torres of the last time they were in the ring like this in Deland. Torres had heard enough and punched Marshall in the face. The IWA Royalty attacked Torres and was pummeling him when Kyle Blizzard and the locker room came to his rescue.
The big announcement was that Blizzard would defend his title against Marshall on February 12th at University High School in Orange City.
The first match saw Tommy Tan Jovi squashed by the veteran Alex Porteau. He delivered a “Power Bomb” from Hell for the win.
The second match was a tag team match that pitted Danny Demento and Justin Cage against the team of Rico Suave’ and Don Maximo. The match was okay and pitted two equally talented teams. In the end, Suave’ and Maximo lost to Demento and Cage.
The third match could have been the sleeper match of the night. The Latin Assassins comprised of Gus Money and Mike Cruz took on The Noryicanz. Two very quick talented teams that gave it all that they had. Cruz and Money were too much in the end with their experience. The Latin Assassins wins this match.
The fourth match was good featuring Teigan James and D. Lee. Lee is relatively new to the sport but is picking up experience very quickly. D. Lee’s was just too much for James tonight and he lost to Lee from a dive off the top rope.
Match five started out with a giant question mark. Who was going to wrestle for the injured Johnny Armani with Eddie Graves and defend their tag team championships? The IWA manager Mastermind was out in the ring with Eddie Graves and Sean Laflash. They decided to bring out Jason Static from Total Nonstop Wrestling’s Team Jarrett. It was official that IWA Royalty would take on The Uprising.
The match was very good, as both teams seemed rather equal to each other. LaFlash was constantly interrupting the match on the mike and caused the head referee Stiffler to eject LaFlash from ringside to the delight of the crowd.
In the end of the match, IWA outsmarted and defeated the Uprising by splitting the team up and IWA were able to control the match. IWA Royalty wins and retains the belts.
Match six was very good till the end as London Vice with his manager The Mastermind defending his Light Heavyweight Title against the young Rocky Santiago.. Dr. Technico sat down by the announce tables to watch what was going on. Somewhere during the match, The Mastermind was able to get a hold of a hockey stick. The Mastermind tried to sneak the hockey stick to Vice and he used it and the referee saw it. Rocky Santiago wins by disqualification over London Vice but Vice keeps the belt. Dr. Technico than waffled the Mastermind in the face.
Match seven had LaFlash coming out and chiding the crowd. The four wrestlers were scheduled for a no disqualification match so it ends up that all four wrestlers were fighting from everywhere in the gym. The referee finally restores order and orders the bell to be rung after about ten minutes of mayhem throughout the ring.
Mike Reed and Q T Marshall kept the Biff inside of the ring while the nervous Blizzard remained outside waiting to be tagged. Excellent double team tag skills were used by the IWA contingent as they beat down the Biff unmercifully.
Biff was able to fight himself away from the enemy corner and tag the very excited champ. Kyle was able to attack and sustain the offensive and finally Blizzard and Slater were able to pin Reed and Q T for the big win. The IWA Roayalty again interfered in the match and Dr. Technico with the help of Blizzard and Slater were able to fight off the enemy as the crowd cheered on.
Last night was a success and done for a good cause. We express our gratitude to everyone who did contribute to this young mans future. We hope that each and everyone who was present did have a good time and to remember that we will be back at the University High School on February 12th and in Orlando on the 19th. Further information will be provided in the next couple of days.
