Bella Twins Photos – FCW Historic Photo Gallery (Garcia Twins)

Posted on 09 July 2011 by SnowMan Jones

Brianna Monique Garcia[4] and Nicole Stephanie Garcia[1][5] (born on November 21, 1983)[1] are American twin models and professional wrestlers. The twins are a professional wrestling tag team under the ring names Brie Bella and Nikki Bella, collectively referred to as The Bella Twins, and work for World Wrestling Entertainment on the Raw brand.[6]

Before being promoted to the main World Wrestling Entertainment roster, The Bella Twins wrestled with Florida Championship Wrestling, where they were trained by Tom Prichard, and mainly competed in tag team competition. Brie made her debut on SmackDown in August 2008; she debuted first, and as part of her in-ring persona, would disappear under the ring during matches, emerging revived. Eventually, however, it was discovered she was switching places with her twin, Nikki, under the ring in order to gain an advantage. They then competed in tag team matches. Beginning in November 2008, an angle was written in which The Bella Twins developed an on-screen relationship with The Colóns (Carlito and Primo). They were later involved in storyline romances with John Morrison (John Hennigan) and The Miz in early 2009 and Daniel Bryan (Brian Danielson) in 2010. In April 2011, Brie won the World Wrestling Entertainment Divas Championship.

On July 24, 2006 Hutter appeared at the Heat tapings prior to Raw, where he teamed with Chris Cronus in a loss to Viscera and Charlie Haas.[1] While competing on NXT, he appeared in pre-taped vignette on Raw as a scientist with the “Bateman Institute” advertising a fictional Mark Henry cologne.

[edit] Florida Championship Wrestling (2009–present)

Hutter made his Florida Championship Wrestling (Florida Championship Wrestling) debut on February 9, 2009, as ‘Mike Hutter’, when he lost to Drew McIntyre (Andrew Galloway).[8] On February 19, he changed his ring name to ‘Derrick Bateman’, and gained Abraham Washington as a Manager as he teamed with Lennox McEnroe in a loss to Scotty Goldman and DJ Gabriel.[8] At the February 26 television tapings, Hutter, Washington, and Tristan Delta lost a dark match to Brett DiBiase, Maverick Darsow, and Tank Mulligan.[8] In March, he and Dylan Klein lost to Kafu and Sweet Papi Sanchez. In April, he became known as ‘Agent D.’, as part of Washington’s Secret Service stable alongside Agent T. and Agent J.[8] He reverted to his ‘Derrick Bateman’ name in June, in a loss to DJ Gabriel.[8]

After a hiatus, Bateman returned to Florida Championship Wrestling in 2010, teaming with Adam Henderson in a loss to The Rotundo Brothers (Bo and Duke).[9] In March, he lost to Richie Steamboat and Joe Hennig in singles competition, and to Johnny Prime, Orlando Colón, and Incognito as part of a six-man tag team match, before defeating Rudy Parker.[9] He went on to lose to Skip Sheffield, Percy Watson, Mason Ryan, Wes Brisco, and Eli Cottonwood over the next several months.[9] In mid-2010, he formed a tag team known as The Handsome Man’s Express with Leo Kruger, and the pair unsuccessfully challenged Los Aviadores (Hunico and Epico) for the Florida Championship Wrestling Florida Tag Team Championship on July 2.[9] The Handsome Man’s Express disbanded as a team shortly afterward, with Kruger defeating Bateman in a singles match on July 29.[9] On August 12, 2010, Hutter teamed with Johnny Curtis to win the Florida Championship Wrestling Florida Tag Team Championship by defeating the team of Donny Marlow and Brodus Clay and the defending champions, Los Aviadores in a three-way tag team match.[10] They went on to successfully defend the championship against Los Aviadores, Clay and Marlow, and The Dudebusters (Caylen Croft and Trent Barretta).[9] After a near three month reign, Bateman and Curtis lost the championship to Wes Brisco and Xavier Woods on November 4.[11]

A native of Selkirk, Manitoba, Cutler was a fan of Hulk Hogan (Terry Bullea) and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat during the “Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Connection“-era of the 1980s as well as Stone Cold Steve Austin, Owen and Bret Hart during the “Attitude Era”. Still in his early 20s, he approched local Selkirk promoter and wrestler Matt Evans who agreed to train him and later booked him on shows in Winnipeg. He later received more advanced training from Johnny Devine, including conducting interviews and putting together promotional packages.

Debut

He made his professional debut on May 30, 2002, and wrestled in Manitoba and Saskatchewan during his early career. He also appeared in British Columbia, Ontario and toured the United States. In 2003, he was invited to attend a first ever week-long Ohio Valley Wrestling camp. Winning the BSW Heavyweight Championship in Body Slam Wrestling shortly after,[2] he also began regularly appearing in the Canadian Wrestling Federation and Premier Championship Wrestling.

On September 11, 2004, Cutler appeared on the first event held by Power Slam Entertainment, PSE Genesis, at the Selkirk War Memorial Hall including “The Mecca” Shane Madison, Shaun Houston, “The Outlaw” Adam Knight, Matt Fairlane and Chris Raine. The event also raised money for local charities including the Selkirk Food Bank and the Ruth Hooker breakfast program.[3] Winning the PSE Heavyweight Championship at that show, he defended his title at the promotion’s second show, PSE Revolution, against Chris Raine the following month.[4]

In October 2005, he also appeared on the supercard Holloween Horror for Action Wrestling Entertainment facing Adam Knight in the main event.[5] During that year, he appeared on the promotion’s television show AWE Overload later released on DVD as AWE: Larger Than Life, Volume 2.[6]

In 2007, Cutler began sending photos and a DVD of his matches and interviews. After sending an e-mail to World Wrestling Entertainment Talent Relations, he was offered to appear at a World Wrestling Entertainment event while touring Canada. When the tour was cancelled due to the Chris Benoit murder/suicide, World Wrestling Entertainment Talent Relations informed him that he could appear when the promotion made another tour the following year.

On March 2, 2007 at the Glenwood CC in Winnipeg, MB, Canada; “Prime Time” Jon Cutler pinned EZ Ryder in the main event for Reckoning Day to become the new RME Heavyweight Champion. He last defended the title on July 4, 2007 at RME’s Maple Leaf Mayhem Tour at the Dryden Recreation Complex in Dryden, ON, Canada where he pinned Vance Nevada to remain the RME Heavyweight Champion. In October 2007, Jon vacated the title.[7]

World Wrestling Entertainment

Jon Cutler made his first World Wrestling Entertainment appearance on the May 5th edition of World Wrestling Entertainment Raw at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Cutler was defeated by Paul Burchill and Katie Lea Burchill in a handicap squash match. During the match, he received loud “let’s go jobber” chants from the crowd. Even though Cutler lost the match he received positive feedback from Chris Jericho and Smackdown’s Jamie Noble. World Wrestling Entertainment was talking about possibly signing Jon to a developmental contract, and it went through.[8][9]

On July 10, 2008, Jon Cutler lost to PCW Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega. Cutler had previously won a tournament defeating “Outlaw” Adam Knight, Antonio Scorpio, Jr. and Mike Angels to win a title shot against Omega.[10] Four days later, he faced Marius at a Steeltown Pro Wrestling event which raised money for the local Selkirk soup kitchen.[11]

Florida Championship Wrestling (2008-2009)

After signing a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment , he began to appear for Florida Championship Wrestling (Florida Championship Wrestling), World Wrestling Entertainment ’s developmental territory. He teamed with Dylan Klein until his release in June 2009.[12]

In November 2008, Otunga signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and was assigned to its development territory, Florida Championship Wrestling.[1][7] He made his debut on May 29, 2009,[1] under the ring name, Dawson Alexander, in a six-man tag team match. Otunga teamed with Barry Allen and Jon Cutler to defeat Abraham Saddam Washington, Derrick Bateman, and Tonga.

On February 16, 2010, it was announced that Otunga would be wrestling on the first season of World Wrestling Entertainment NXT under his real name, with R-Truth (Ron Killings) as his storyline mentor.[2] He made his debut on the inaugural episode of NXT on February 23, quickly defeating Darren Young.[8] Young defeated Otunga in a rematch on the following week’s broadcast, thanks to interference from Young’s mentor, CM Punk. After the match, R-Truth (Ron Killings) tried to offer his support, only to be shoved away by a frustrated Otunga. R-Truth (Ron Killings) took exception, confronting and brawling with Otunga backstage.[9] On the March 30 episode of NXT, Otunga won an 8-man over the top rope battle royal against the other NXT Rookies to earn the right to guest host Raw the following week.[10] On the April 5 episode of Raw, Otunga put himself in a tag team match with John Cena for the Unified World Wrestling Entertainment Tag Team Championship against ShoMiz (The Big Show (Paul Wight) and The Miz). Later in the match, however, he refused to tag in and walked out, allowing ShoMiz to retain.[11] On May 11, in the second Pros Poll, he was moved to second place.[12] During the season finale on June 1, Otunga came in second place overall in the competition, losing out to Wade Barrett.[13]

The following week on Raw, Otunga and the other NXT rookies from season one interfered in the main event match between John Cena and CM Punk, attacking the competitors, the announce team, and the ring announcer Justin Roberts, before dismantling the ring area and surrounding equipment.[14] On the June 14 episode of Raw, the rookies attacked General Manager Bret Hart, when he refused to give them contracts.[15] The following week on Raw, Vincent K. McMahon fired Hart and announced the hiring of a new General Manager, who had signed all seven season one NXT rookies to contracts.[16] The following week, the group was named The Nexus.[17] On the July 12 edition of Raw, The Nexus, excluding Daniel Bryan (Brian Danielson) (who was fired by Vincent K. McMahon after the Nexus’ first night on Raw in part due to choking ring announcer Justin Roberts with his own tie.), competed in their first match together, defeating John Cena in a six–on–one handicap match.[18] The Nexus continued to feud with Cena and the Raw roster, resulting in a seven-on-seven elimination tag team match at SummerSlam. Otunga was the fourth member of The Nexus eliminated, when he submitted to Chris Jericho, and The Nexus went on to lose the match.[19]

Cena was later forced to join The Nexus, as a result of losing to Barrett at Hell in a Cell.[20] At the following pay-per-view, Bragging Rights on October 24, Otunga and Cena teamed together to win the World Wrestling Entertainment Tag Team Championship from Cody Rhodes (Cody Runnels) and Drew McIntyre (Andrew Galloway).[21][22] The next night on Raw Otunga and Cena lost the Tag Team Championship to fellow Nexus members Justin Gabriel (Paul Lloyd Jr.) and Heath Slater (Heath Miller) when Barrett ordered Otunga to allow Slater to pin him.[23] On November 5, Otunga, who had been questioning Barrett’s leadership in the past weeks, led Nexus, minus Barrett and Cena, to an invasion of SmackDown.[24] Barrett did not approve of Otunga’s decision to lead The Nexus to SmackDown and as a result forced him to defend his spot in the group a week later.[25] On the November 12 edition of SmackDown Otunga defeated Edge (Adam Copeland) in a lumberjack match, after Kane (Glen Jacobs) interfered, to keep his spot in Nexus.[26] About a month later, Otunga started to rebel against Barrett with the rest of Nexus behind him. After the group disobeyed direct orders and walked away from Barrett, Otunga told Barrett to rehire Cena the following week or be banished from Nexus.[27] In January 2011 Barrett was exiled from Nexus and CM Punk took over his spot as the leader of the group.[28] While Justin Gabriel (Paul Lloyd Jr.) and Heath Slater (Heath Miller) chose not to follow Punk’s orders and left Nexus, Otunga agreed to take his initiation test, a beating from the Big Show (Paul Wight), and remain with the group.[29] In late February, it was announced that Punk would face Randy Orton at WrestleMania XXVII, with each member of The Nexus facing Orton to win the right to accompany Punk to the ring in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania. Otunga faced Orton on the March 7 episode of Raw, but lost. Following the match, he was punted in the skull by Orton.[30] Otunga was absent from television for over a month, returning on the April 11 episode of Raw with the other New Nexus members, and preventing Orton from earning a World Wrestling Entertainment Championship match.[31][32] On the May 23 episode of Raw, Otunga teamed with fellow Nexus member Michael McGillicutty to win the World Wrestling Entertainment Tag Team Championship from Kane (Glen Jacobs) and The Big Show (Paul Wight) with the help from a distraction from Ryan and a kick to the back of Big Show’s skull, resulting in him being hit with a double ddt for the loss.[5][33]

In 2008, Evans signed a World Wrestling Entertainment contract and was assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling (Florida Championship Wrestling), a World Wrestling Entertainment developmental territory. In Florida Championship Wrestling, he began wrestling under the ring name Tyrone Jones.[1] In May, he feuded with Atlas DaBone.[17] Throughout June and July, he faced wrestlers including Kevin Kiley, Jr. and TJ Wilson, and on July 21, he lost a dark match to Jamie Noble on July 21 prior to Raw.[1][17] In September he gained Byron Saxton as a manager, and changed his ring name to Tyson Tarver.[17] He became part of The Saxton Conglomerate, a faction composed of Tarver, Black Pain, Stu Sanders and led by Byron Saxton. Tarver had his first match with the Conglomerate on October 30, where he, Pain and Sanders lost to Johnny Prime, Kafu and Sinn Bowdee.[17] Prime soon began feuding with the Conglomerate, and on November 20, Tarver lost to him in a singles match.[17] On December 18, Tarver and Sanders lost to Prime and Kaleb O’Neal.[17]

In 2009, Evans changed his ring name to ‘Michael Tarver’.[18] He continued competing in Florida Championship Wrestling throughout the remainder of 2009, facing wrestlers including Wes Brisco and Skip Sheffield, with whom he feuded in November 2009.[18] In December, Tarver became associated with Heath Slater (Heath Miller), interfering in Slater’s matches and accompanying him to the ring.[18] The following month, Tarver began a feud with Titus O’Neil. After twice interrupting O’Neil, Tarver defeated him in a singles match on February 18.[18]

Scott Colton [Colt Cabana] (born May 6, 1980 in Deerfield, Illinois) is an American professional wrestler better known by his ring name Colt Cabana.[4] Colton is most notably known from his time in Ring of Honor, where he is currently employed. Colton also wrestled as Scotty Goldman in World Wrestling Entertainment and as old school masked wrestler “Matt Classic” in Mtelevision’s Wrestling Society X.

He began his professional wrestling career in ROH, where he was placed in a rivalry with CM Punk before uniting with Punk and Ace Steel to form the Second City Saints alliance. He later formed a tag team with Punk to win the World Tag Team Championship twice. He also had rivalries with Homicide and then-World Champion Bryan Danielson. He has also toured in countries outside of the United States, and he was a part of the short lived Wrestling Society X on Mtelevision in late 2006, where he portrayed an “old school” wrestling persona.
